Queues and credits
Every MagniFinance client can have documents recognised. There are two queues — a free regular queue that everyone gets, and a credit-based fast track — and one thing decides which one your document goes into: whether you have recognition credits.
The free regular queue
Every client gets automatic recognition at no cost, at Main quality, in the regular queue. Each recognition is recorded as usage, but nothing is charged for it.
Free recognition is capped per company:

Past a limit, nothing is lost: the document is still saved, it is simply not recognised. You are told what happened and offered the two ways forward — fill the expense in by hand, or buy credits.
The fast track
Clients with recognition credits go to the fast track:
- 1 credit per recognised document.
- Fast-track documents are always processed before documents in the regular queue.
- There is no rate limit on the fast track. The only limit is how many credits you have.
When credits run out, uploads fall back automatically to the free regular queue. Nothing breaks and nothing is rejected — the documents simply queue behind the free traffic again, within the free limits above.
Failed recognitions are refunded automatically. A document that could not be recognised does not cost a credit.
What the Documents page shows
Under the upload area the Documents page shows a one-line note, marked with the Magni loupe 
, in the same words as the expense page's recognition panel:
- how many credits are left — N recognition credits left
- which queue new uploads use — Runs on the fast track (1 credit). or Runs on the regular queue (free).
- a link to buy credits: Buy credits on the fast track, Get the fast track on the regular queue
Each queued row shows its own place in the queue and an estimated wait, updating live as the queue moves:

Recognising an expense after upload
Recognition is not only something that happens at upload. An expense can be recognised on demand from its own page.
The expense page's toolbar has a Run recognition button, to the left of Preview, Download and Change document. Its icon is the Magni loupe , the mark MagniFinance uses for its automations. It is available on expenses that have a file and are still editable — that is, in the draft, checked or forecast states.
Clicking it opens a small panel under the button, laid out like the Send by email panel, with:
- how many credits are left — N recognition credits left
- which queue the run will use — Runs on the fast track (1 credit). or Runs on the regular queue (free).
- a Buy credits link on the left, and Cancel and Run recognition on the right
While the document waits, the button shows its place in the queue and the estimated wait, for example:

When recognition finishes, the page reloads with the recognised data. If it fails, the page shows the reason.
The rules are exactly the rules for uploads:
- On the fast track a run costs 1 credit, and every re-run is charged again.
- Free runs count towards the 20 per hour, 50 per day and 80 per month limits.
- A failed recognition is refunded.
The button is shown only to users allowed to act on documents, on their own expenses.

One credit recognises one document, on the fast track.
